This seminar is designed to introduce easy to implement techniques and approaches in the senior population post-surgically to promote recovery. This seminar is will provide a deeper understanding of the science and medicine behind these techniques and approaches. Post-surgical dementia, fall risk, and mitigation of re-admission will be the focus of discussion and practice. Clinical reasoning and procedures will be discussed along with case studies and practice.

Hypermobile Spectrum disorder, Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes - management across disciplines

This seminar series is designed to provide a deeper understanding of the movement and neuromuscular approaches in the evaluation & management of hypermobile spectrum disorders and Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes. Interdependence between the fascial, autonomic, and immune system will be a focus of discussion and practice. Clinical reasoning of the evaluation and management process and its integration with cross-disciplinary procedures will be discussed along with extensive hands-on practice and feedback including diagnosis, pathophysiology, imaging, interventions (manual, motor planning, medical, holistic, neuropsychologic).

This seminar series is designed to provide a deeper understanding of how osteopathic techniques and approaches can be applied in populations with hypermobile spectrum disorders and Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes. Interdependence between the fascial system, autonomic nervous system, and the fluid body will be a focus of discussion and practice. Clinical reasoning and procedures will be discussed along with extensive hands-on practice and feedback including touch/palpation and interventions (strain/counter-strain, cranial osteopathy, balanced ligamentous strain, muscle energy, myofascial techniques, facilitated positional release)
